Manchester United are informed on the situation of Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea and could use the club’s interest in Alejandro Garnacho to seal a deal.

Jackson’s future at Chelsea is in doubt after the summer signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Though Chelsea are not actively looking to offload the Senegalese striker, reasonable offers will be considered for the player.

Chelsea’s openness to a potential exit has alerted Manchester United, who want to bring in a centre-forward before September’s transfer deadline.

Ruben Amorim has signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and the announcement of Bryan Mbeumo’s arrival from Brentford is imminent. Next on the agenda is a number nine, though no decision on the club’s top target has been made.

Much of the club’s remaining summer business hinges on sales. The likes of Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony are among those the Red Devils are keen to offload.

Chelsea are among the teams to have expressed interest in Garnacho, first enquiring in January, and remain admirers.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that there have been no club-to-club talks regarding Jackson to date, but he is an option under consideration.

The transfer journalist has claimed that, given Chelsea’s ‘appreciation’ of Garnacho, a swap agreement could be made to help both clubs finance the transfer.
