Bryce Underwood's Surprising Blindside Protector Predicted by Michigan Insider

The Michigan Wolverines had a rough go of it on offense last year with their passing attack rendered unusable for much of the season and injuries taking their toll on a team that lacked a productive starting quarterback. Former walk-on Davis Warren led Michigan to three straight late season victories over Northwestern, Ohio State and Alabama, supported by Alex Orji as the Wolverines finally found a consistent quarterback rotation. This season is expected to bring with it a new starter in freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, who will need all the help he can get up front during his first ever college football season.

On Friday, Michigan football insider Sam Webb announced his prediction for the Wolverines' starting left tackle this season: Blake Frazier.

Frazier is a 6-foot-6, sophomore tackle from Austin, Texas who was listed as a four-star prospect by On3.com out of high school.

Webb said he made the prediction on a CBS television show and shared it with Frazier.

"I said, alright, Imma go off the board, Imma go with Blake Frazier," Webb said, noting that Frazier has put on significant weight since he set foot on campus in Ann Arbor.

"Yeah man, he's packed on some weight, checking in at around 300 pounds now," Webb announced in an interview with Frazier.

"That's the main focus," Frazier said in response to Webb. "Obviously coming in as a light guy, but they (Michigan coaches) told me through my whole recruiting process, they're like, 'Yeah, you've got the frame to fill out and we've got the people to help you do it, so it's been a process but I've enjoyed every minute of it,'" Frazier added.
