The Philadelphia Phillies have been linked to Luis Robert plenty over the past two years. Whether it plays out like that remains to be seen as well, but the Phillies should at least be in a good position to offer him a chance to win, and the Chicago White Sox an opportunity to land a decent package in return. Despite that reality, CBS Sports doesn't expect it to be the case, recently predicting that the Phillies and other teams around the league who have an interest in Robert won't win the sweepstakes, noting that the Cincinnati Reds will.

The Philadelphia Phillies have been linked to Luis Robert plenty over the past two years. However, given that neither side has reached an agreement on a trade yet, it remains uncertain what the exact plan will be.
Nonetheless, if the Phillies want to trade for Robert, the expectation around the league is that he'll be available.
“This one almost feels like fait accompli, so I'm not sure it qualifies as a bold prediction. The Reds tried to get Robert in the offseason and I assume they'll try again at the deadline given a) their need for an outfielder, and b) the price coming down given Robert's poor season. He took a .190/.275/.325 slash line into the break, which is just terrible. That said, outfielders with less upside will be traded in the coming weeks. There is no chance the White Sox will pick up Robert's $20 million option after the season, so they figure to trade him for whatever they can get at the deadline,” they wrote.
Given how the Reds have played throughout the year, it might not make the most sense for them to be true buyers. However, given that Robert has struggled, it wouldn't be too surprising to see his price not be too high.
In that case, one could argue that it makes sense for Cincinnati to get involved.
