Dallas Wings rookie and No. 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers is having quite the year heading into WNBA All-Star weekend.
After closing out her collegiate career at UConn with a national championship, Bueckers was selected first overall in the WNBA Draft, named a WNBA All-Star starter, and has firmly positioned herself as the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year honors.
She also confirmed some exciting news during an interview with "WAG Talk" on Thursday, officially revealing—after much speculation—that she is dating her former UConn teammate Azzi Fudd.
Though fans had long speculated about their relationship based on social media interactions and public appearances, Bueckers had never publicly confirmed it—until this week’s orange carpet interview ahead of All-Star weekend in Indianapolis.
Check it out:
Bueckers took part in a popular trend where girlfriends answer a series of questions about their significant other before making a reveal at the end. Impressively, she nailed nearly every answer—except one: which WNBA team drafted Fudd’s mother out of college, a tricky question given that the team no longer exists.
Nonetheless, fans quickly embraced the “hard launch” of the basketball duo, as Bueckers continues to thrive with the Wings while Fudd prepares for one more season at UConn in Storrs.
"Wait this is the first interview with the word girlfriend," a fan said.
Someone else added, "TS CONFIRMED."
Another person wrote, "I am so proud of Paige for opening up about her relationship with Azzi."
"This hard launch is my favorite birthday present," one more fan commented.
