Manchester United have held talks with Ali Barat, who represents Nicolas Jackson about a possible move to Old Trafford according to reports.
Jackson’s future has been questioned following the arrival of both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, with the latter making an immediate impact.
The 24-year-old now has genuine competition for his place for the first time in his Chelsea career, and it will be interesting to see how he responds.
Man United hold talks over Jackson move
Jackson has been Chelsea’s first choice striker since he joined from Villarreal two years ago, but after a disappointing Club World Cup he’s now arguably third choice.
The Senegal international failed to score, was sent off against Flamengo, and was an unused substitute in the final.
Since the final speculation about Jackson’s future has continued to grow, and there are reportedly a number of clubs interested in his services.

AC Milan like the striker, but he’s thought to be too expensive, whilst there’s also interest in Jackson from Manchester United and Aston Villa, and BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella has now provided an update.
He took to X.com and said:
“Manchester United have held talks with Nicolas Jackson’s representative Ali Barat over a potential move.
“A lot needs to happen in terms of outgoings for United but one that could happen in the right circumstances.

Chelsea like Xavi Simons
Whether Jackson stays or goes could determine if the Blues look to add another attacker to their squad.
Chelsea’s dream target is reportedly Morgan Rogers, but they also like RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons, who’s also attracting interest from Arsenal.
Simons is thought to be valued at around €65m, and can play both centrally and on the left, and his situation is one which could develop quickly over the coming days and weeks.
