Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman only has eyes for Inter Milan this summer, despite the emergence of Napoli in the pursuit of his signature.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and via FCInterNews.it, the Nigeria international is determined to join Inter and has no intention of moving anywhere else, or indeed, remaining at Atalanta.
Inter have agreed a five-year contract with the former Fulham and Everton player, at €4.5 million rising to €5m, and hope to finalise a transfer fee with Atalanta shortly.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri are ready to use the largest portion of their summer transfer budget on securing Lookman and have submitted a €40m offer to Atalanta for him.
Napoli remain keen and have held talks with Lookman’s representatives, only to be informed that the player will only consider Inter this summer.
Similarly, interest from La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid has also been shut down and their is optimism at Inter that a breakthrough could be made this week.
Lookman will also push Atalanta to release him, whilst the Biscione may increase their upfront offer slightly in order to convince the Bergamo club to accept.
