With every passing day it looks more likely that Luis Diaz will leave the club. But Liverpool have already lined up a move for his replacement.

The Colombian is the subject of numerous interest from Europe and Saudi Arabia. At this moment in time, Diaz's most likely destination appears to be Bayern Munich with the German side keen on his services.

Fabrizio Romano has recently confirmed that Diaz's plan is to leave the club this summer.

There's no denying Diaz's departure will be a big loss for Liverpool. He was by far the most progressive and best player when it came to one vs one offensive situations.

His ability to beat players is second to none in this Liverpool team. Filling the void he left behind will be a difficult job for Richard Hughes to do, especially when he already has to focus on bringing in a no.9 and a centre-back as well.

However, it's not an impossible job and in fairness to Hughes, he has already signed the perfect replacement for Diaz, so he doesn't have that much to worry about.

Last season, Liverpool did not do a lot of business. But the transfers Hughes got over the line could prove to be really important for the club's future in years to come.

Undoubtedly, the biggest signing of the summer was probably Rio Ngumoha. He arrived from Chelsea, where he was already training with the club's first team at 15-years-old.

Still only 16-years-old at the moment, Ngumoha has been getting regular playing time in training sessions with the first team ever since he joined the club.

He's made his debut for the Reds in the FA Cup, becoming the youngest ever player to start a competitive game for Liverpool. And he's now expected to be a regular part of pre-season for the Reds, having already shone against Preston North End in the club's first friendly game.

Liverpool's media team is also increasing their coverage of Ngumoha, posting videos of him catching the eye in training, including this clip from Friday which has close to two million impressions on X.

It was apparent in the Preston game that Liverpool's senior players are not treating Ngumoha like an academy player. They kept trying to find him and he was very involved in the game.

There's no denying if Diaz leaves, there will be an opportunity for Ngumoha to get more minutes and even replace the Colombian. It's not out of the question.

Lamine Yamal has proven that age does not have to define a young footballer. He's a year older than Ngumoha and around the same age, he was catching the eye at Euro 2024 last year.

Ngumoha definitely has enough quality to be playing regularly for Liverpool. He's shown that in his last two first team appearances.

The one vs one ability he possess is something special and rare, and it's an area of his game that is already more advanced than Diaz, which is saying a lot considering we said the Colombian was one of the best players in this area of his game at Liverpool.

That's how good Ngumoha is and that's why he could just be the most obvious and perfect solution to replace Diaz, should he depart the club.
