There is a lot of excitement at Barcelona in the wake of Marcus Rashford’s imminent arrival at the club.
The Englishman is expected to fly to Barcelona today to complete a loan deal, with the club having an option to buy the player permanently next summer.
However, in the midst of this excitement, a dark truth looms at Barça, which is the delay of the Camp Nou return.
The club were already rocked last week by City Council’s refusal to offer a first occupancy license, which essentially ruled out the Joan Gamper trophy being played at the old stadium.
Now, there is a growing pessimism at Barcelona surrounding the planned return to Camp Nou in September.
Barcelona inform Flick about the Camp Nou truth
According to Diario AS, head coach Hansi Flick has been formally informed by the club that a return to Camp Nou at the start of the new season cannot be guaranteed.

In fact, there is a growing possibility that Barcelona may have to continue playing at Montjuic until at least January 2026.
While Flick was not surprised by the decision to move the Gamper Trophy to Estadi Johan Cruyff, a one-off adjustment due to limited readiness, he is reportedly concerned about the broader uncertainty surrounding the stadium’s reopening.
The German manager had assumed, like the rest of the squad, that the Villarreal match last season would be the final one at Montjuic.
But now, plans are shifting again, and the lack of clear communication has left players puzzled and frustrated.
The coming weeks could be critical as Barcelona look to finalise the documentation required to get the Camp Nou match-day, hopefully by September.
