The Sacramento Kings have had an interesting offseason thus far as they have chosen to upgrade their roster and try to compete for a playoff spot next season instead of beginning a rebuild.

Sacramento began their offseason by selecting Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud in the 2025 NBA Draft to upgrade their bench with two young players.

They then traded Jonas Valanciunas to the Denver Nuggets for Dario Saric and landed Dennis Schroder in free agency via a sign-and-trade deal with the Detroit Pistons to upgrade their point guard position.

Despite these moves, the Kings may have more deals on the way as they try to upgrade their roster and compete for a playoff spot next season.

Here are three remaining free agents the Kings could target this summer.

Jonathan Kuminga

Kuminga has been linked to the Kings over the past few weeks, though it was reported that the Golden State Warriors denied the Kings’ sign-and-trade offer for him.

Of course, that is how Sacramento will have to acquire Kuminga and if they want to do so, they may have to Malik Monk in a potential trade package.

Either way, Kuminga would be a solid addition to the Kings’ roster, though his role in the rotation would be uncertain if they keep DeMar DeRozan.

Russell Westbrook

Westbrook was linked to the Kings in the beginning of the offseason but those rumors have cooled down since they added Schroder.

Despite this, Sacramento still has a hole at point guard and adding Westbrook would be a solid move as he could either start or come of the bench where he would give them another much-needed playmaker.

Malcolm Brogdon

If the Kings decide not to pursue Westbrook, they could instead look at Brogdon as a potential option for their backup point guard opening.

Brogdon is a solid scorer and great playmaker who would be a solid addition to the Kings’ bench, though he has dealt with a ton of injuries over the last handful of seasons.

While the Kings could pursue these players, they could also look elsewhere to bolster their roster this offseason.
