3 Remaining Free Agents the Warriors Could Still Target Amid Underwhelming Offseason originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
It has been an underwhelming offseason thus far for the Golden State Warriors as they have not made any moves outside of their two second-round picks in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Golden State entered the offseason looking to upgrade their roster around their veteran trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to chase a championship next season.
Instead, they still find themselves awaiting a decision by restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga, which has cost them multiple free agent targets.
When Kuminga makes his decision to either stay in Golden State or leave via a likely sign-and-trade deal, it is expected that the Warriors will make multiple moves in free agency.
Here are three remaining free agents that the Warriors could still target this offseason.
Al Horford
Horford has been linked to the Warriors all summer as Golden State tries to upgrade their center position and there is no doubt that he would be a great fit.
The veteran big man is a great scorer, especially from three-point range, and he is also a great rebounder and defender.
With the Warriors in desperate need of a center, Horford would be a solid addition for them, though it has been reported that he is considering retirement.
Chris Boucher
If Horford ends up retiring, the Warriors could go after Boucher who is also a great scorer, rebounder and defender who would help space the floor due to his three-point shooting.
Boucher has flown under the radar this summer but with the Warriors in desperate need of a big man, adding him to their roster would be beneficial to their title chase next season.
Malcolm Brogdon
For Brogdon, he would give the Warriors a much-needed backup point guard that has haunted them for the last couple of seasons.
Of course, Brogdon has dealt with a ton of injuries over the last handful of seasons but he is still a great playmaker off the bench that the Warriors could use next season.
While the Warriors could target these three players, they could also look elsewhere to upgrade their roster next season as it appears moves are coming.
