Nice weekend for the star guard.
After joining the New York Liberty for the 2025 season, Natasha Cloud just pulled off one of her most memorable wins yet. The 33-year-old guard captured the KIA Skills Challenge title during WNBA All-Star weekend, and she’s already got big plans for the prize money.

In her first appearance at the event, Cloud topped a field that included Erica Wheeler, Allisha Gray, Skylar Diggins, and Courtney Williams. She kicked things off with a 34.1-second opening run, then edged Wheeler in the final round with a time of 36.4 seconds. Wheeler clocked 37.5 seconds, while defending champion Gray came in at 39.4 and was knocked out in the first round.
Cloud earned $50,000 along with a $2,575 bonus for her performance, and she made it clear the cash is going to good use.

“That’s a lot of money to help out my family,” she said in a post-game video shared by the WNBA. “We’re buying a home this offseason, so that’s where this is headed.”
The win marked Cloud’s first major All-Star moment and came during her debut weekend as an event participant.
Shortly after her victory, Liberty teammate Sabrina Ionescu made it a clean sweep for New York by winning the Starry 3-point contest. Ionescu cashed in $60,000 and another $2,575 bonus by sinking 30 total three-pointers, beating out Allisha Gray, Kelsey Plum, Lexie Hull, and Sonia Citron.
“It’s been a minute since I’ve done this, so I was nervous,” Ionescu said. “But it’s amazing to win it with so many elite shooters out there.”
The All-Star game is set for Saturday evening. WNBA action gets started again on Tuesday in regular-season action.
