Barcelona have finally made a breakthrough in their bid to sign a new forward this summer, with Marcus Rashford all set to join the club on a loan deal.
The Manchester United striker is set to join immediately and will be a part of Barcelona’s pre-season tour to Asia.
Rashford’s imminent arrival may have serious ramifications as far as Barcelona’s squad-building is concerned, perhaps even paving the way for other players to leave.
Pau Victor’s exit to be fast-tracked
According to Toni Juanmarti, one of the players impacted by the arrival of Rashford will be none other than Pau Victor.
The Spaniard has fallen behind in the pecking order as far as Barcelona’s attack is concerned and could be on his way out of Camp Nou this summer.
Juanmarti even claims that Victor’s exit process will be expedited now that the club have successfully managed to sign Rashford.

This comes on the back of a recent report which claimed that Hansi Flick wants to fast-track the sale of at least five players, one of them being Victor.
As mentioned earlier, the forward is not a part of Flick’s plans for next season, falling behind Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres and now Rashford in the pecking order.
However, a sticking point in the Pau Victor transfer saga will be to find a suitor willing to meet Barcelona’s price tag.
Recent reports suggest that the Catalans are looking for at least €10 million in order to sell Victor this summer – something not every La Liga club would be willing to offer.
Keeping that in mind, there is a possibility Barcelona might have to lower their expectations going forward.
