Three-time ‘Sports Illustrated’ swimsuit issue model Ellie Thumann stuns while sunbathing in teeny string bikini — clueless that her beach day is about to be ruined.
Flawless Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Ellie Thumann settled into a day at the beach — snacking on a sandwich while tanning in a teensy polka dot string bikini, wearing a ball cap and shades to shield her face and eyes.
But her idyllic beach day was to be short lived.
“The lighting came on so fast wtf,” she captioned her Friday, July 18 TikTok video, which showed the dark clouds coming in fast over the ocean as Thumann, 23, sat up in disbelief.
“Cute beach day ruined within 10 mins,” she wrote over the share.
“At least you ate a yummy sandwich beforehand,” quipped one fan.
Thumann is in the current swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated, which marks her third consecutive appearance. The model has become known for sharing her jet-set lifestyle as she travels the world — often glamming it up in two-piece gowns that show off her flawless model’s physique.
On May 31, Thumann joined the other models from the 2025 SI swimsuit issue for a VIP-only, sold out runway show to close out Miami Swim Week at the ultra-chic W South Beach hotel. Also hitting the catwalk were cover stars Livvy Dunne, Lauren Chan and Jordan Chiles; plus models such as Penny lane, Katie Austin, Nicole Williams English, Ilona Maher, Camille Kostek and Denise Bidot.
