The Colorado Buffaloes have had many talented players throughout their long history, even having a total of 280 players drafted into the NFL.

One of those players is Mason Crosby, who spent four years (2003-2006) with the team, where he established himself as one of the best kickers in the program's history.

Now, nearly 20 years since he played for Colorado, Crosby is earning an exciting honor. It was announced that he is one of nine players set to be inducted into the University of Colorado Athletic Hall of Fame this November.

When taking a deep dive into his career numbers with the Buffaloes, the decision doesn't come as too much of a surprise.

As of now, Crosby still ranks first in field goals made (71), second in extra points made (113) and first in points among kickers (326) in program history while earning All-America honors twice (2005 and 2006).

One of his most impressive seasons came in his junior year, 2005. He was named a First-Team All-American after going 22-of-29 on field goals and a perfect 32-for-32 on extra point attempts.

His time with Colorado propelled Crosby into being selected in the sixth round with the No. 193 pick in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, where he spent 16 seasons and won Super Bowl XLV.

Considering his longevity and the fact that he's the team's all-time leading scorer (1,918 points), Crosby is likely destined to be inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame one day.
