The first half of the 2025 WNBA season is officially a thing of the past, and teams will get some time off before resuming play within the next week. However, some of the league's best will take part in All-Star weekend.

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, who has played in just 13 games this season and is averaging 16.5 points, 5 rebounds and 8.8 assists per contest, was voted as a captain for one of the All-Star teams. The 2024 Rookie of the Year’s status for the All-Star Game is now in doubt, though, after she reaggravated a groin injury.

Whether or not Clark can join the team she drafted on Saturday night, her squad will try to beat Napheesa Collier's team.

Meanwhile, Clark’s ninth selection, Las Vegas Aces guard Jackie Young, made a major career move on Thursday by deciding to sign a multiyear shoe deal with Skechers. As her first official event with the brand, Young will be joined by her siblings to distribute shoes and host a clinic for young women’s basketball players in her hometown of Princeton, Indiana.

Princeton is about a two-hour-and-20-minute drive from Indianapolis, the host city for All-Star Weekend.

Young now joins Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson, Washington Mystics forward Kiki Iriafen, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle as notable basketball stars to team up with Skechers.

Young, who was drafted first overall by the Aces in 2019, is now in her seventh season in the WNBA. This is the 6-foot guard's fourth All-Star appearance, and she has won two WNBA titles in her career.

This season, Young is averaging 17.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. She will take part in the WNBA All-Star Game at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC.
