Former Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal kept things simple after signing with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Bradley Beal Makes Simple Farewell Post After Phoenix Suns Exit originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Phoenix Suns finally formalized what everybody saw coming. They bought out Bradley Beal's contract -- costing them $97 million -- which brought them back under the second apron.
After trading Kevin Durant, the next option was finding a way to move on from Beal. A trade wasn't feasible thanks to his high salary and no-trade clause.
Thus, a steep buyout was the move, and the Suns finally allowed Beal to sign wherever he chose in free agency, allowing teams to speak to the guard before the deal was finalized.
Upon being bought out by Phoenix, Beal inked a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he will join a lineup with James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, John Collins and Ivica Zubac.
Evidently, on a cheap two-year deal, Beal now has one of the best value contracts. That wasn't the case while he was with the Suns, and it left him receiving even more scrutiny than he already faced due to his on-court play.

After making the move from The Valley to Los Angeles, Beal made a simple post on X, adding four images with a caption of a peace out emoji.

It's no farewell message and, frankly, Suns fans might not want or deserve one. He spent just two disastrous seasons in Phoenix.
Now, a longer message or comments to the press might come, but it's quite a simple message, for now, from Beal.
In two seasons with the Suns, Beal averaged 17.6 points per game in 106 appearances with 91 starts. He posted his lowest scoring season since 2016, doing so two years in a row. The three-time All-Star saw his productivity drop immensely, and he will now be able to adjust his role with the Clippers.
With Devin Booker still at the helm of the roster, with a retooled supporting cast, the Suns will try and reload and eventually get back to a point of contention after a brutal four-year run after their NBA Finals appearance.
