Rashford agrees Barcelona switch – latest transfer reports

Barcelona have an agreement in principle with Manchester United over the signing of Marcus Rashford.

According to Sky Sports, talks are ongoing over a loan with an option to buy for the England international. Discussions are over the 27-year-old’s wage and possible compensation, should Barcelona not exercise the option to buy.

Rashford has publicly said he would like to play for Barcelona.

The 28-year-old has entered the final year of his contract with the Bees, and would have no issue agreeing terms with Newcastle, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, who are all interested in the forward.

L’Equipe say that Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray have submitted a bid of £2.6m to Manchester City for goalkeeper Ederson, who has only one year left on his contract at the Citizens.

Any move for the Brazilian might trigger Pep Guardiola’s side going after former academy player and Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford as his replacement, reports Fabrizio Romano. Newcastle appeared close to sealing a deal for the 22-year-old, but contacts between City and Burnley have taken place in recent days with the club having a buy back clause.

Elsewhere, Bild are reporting RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons is favouring a move to the Premier League, with both Chelsea and Arsenal monitoring his situation. talkSPORT say potential suitors are hoping to agree a deal worth £56m.

Florian Plettenburg reports that Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has told the club he wants to join Bayern Munich after his side rejected an approach earlier this week. There is no agreement between Bayern and Diaz yet, but personal terms will not be an issue. It is now up to Bayern to reach an agreement with Liverpool.

Finally, the Daily Express say Alexander Isak is open to a move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal reportedly interested in signing the Swedish international from Newcastle. The Magpies rebuffed an approach from Premier League Champions Liverpool earlier this week.
