Royals' Dallas Keuchel MLB comeback attempt gets major update with Triple-A gem

The bearded lefty looks ready.

Dallas Keuchel, dare we say, looks ready.

The bearded left-hander is attempting to get back to MLB through the Kansas City Royals' organization.

And on Friday for the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers, Keuchel was sharp. He went 4.1 innings, allowing three hits and no runs while striking out five.

Here's a look at Keuchel in action:

"Dallas pitching in Kauffman is gonna be a great match!" wrote Royals legend Eric Hosmer on X. "Beard is still in prime time shape as well."

Keuchel hadn't been out of baseball for too long. But after pitching for the Brewers in 2024, he hadn't latched onto a new organization for the first few months of this season before the Royals came calling.

Kansas City also has 45-year old Rich Hill at Omaha currently, so it's quite the veteran starting rotation.

But it seems safe to think the Royals may bring up Keuchel sooner rather than later to see what he has left.
