Just on the back of reports claiming that Barcelona were closing in on the signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports has come forth with a new scoop on the story.
As per the journalist, things are already very advanced between the two clubs as they have reached a broad agreement in principle over a loan move for the 27-year-old forward.
The operation will be a loan deal until the end of the 2025/26 season, with Barcelona retaining an option to sign Rashford permanently.
Now, both teams are working on the final details of the agreement, such as the salary distribution and possible compensation, should the Blaugrana not exercise the option to buy in 2026.

Journalist Achraf Ben Ayad adds that Barça are very appreciative of Rashford and the commitment he has shown to join the club.
The Manchester United academy graduate held firm on his stance of joining the Catalans for quite some time now, and as such, personal terms are not expected to be a problem whatsoever.
There was interest from Juventus in recent days, but Rashford’s dream has been to play for the Blaugrana since January, when a move was talked about but did not go through.
Now, everything points to the England international moving to Catalonia this summer to link up with Hansi Flick’s team.
