Scottie Scheffler had another strong round at The Open Championship and heads into Saturday's moving day with nowhere to move but down: He's all alone in the lead, one stroke ahead of England's Matt Fitzpatrick at -10 after two rounds at Royal Portrush.
The best player in the world right now needed a birdie on the last hole to card a second-round 63, which would have matched a low round ever at a major, but it missed by half an inch and he settled for a 64 that was his best-ever round at a major.
Northern Ireland's hometown hero Rory McIlroy fell off the pace, though at -3 he's not out of it. The cut settled at +1 as the final major of the year heads to the final weekend.

Where is the British Open?
For the third time in its history, Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland is hosting The Open Championship (1951 and 2019 were the other years). It is the only course in Northern Ireland that has hosted three Open, as it usually alternates between Scotland and England.
The town of Portrush is a resort town on the north coast of the island of Ireland, part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It has a population of 6,150 people, who are subjects of King Charles III.
