CLEVELAND — The Guardians host the Athletics at Progressive Field on July 18 in the opening game of a three-game series coming out of the MLB all-star break.
The Guardians swept a three-game series against the host Houston Astros from July 7-9 and won three out of four games versus the host Chicago White Sox from July 11-13 prior to the all-star break.
The six wins in seven games followed a 10-game losing streak from June 26-July 6. The Guardians lost a game to the Toronto Blue Jays to start the streak that included three losses apiece to the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers.
