France forward Kelly Gago has signed a three-year contract extension with Everton, keeping her at the club until June 2028.

Gago, 26, joined the Toffees in January from Nantes and scored five goals and registered two assists during the second half of her side's Women's Super League campaign.

She said the club's owners' ambitions align with her "personal aspirations" and she wants to keep testing herself in the "best league in the world".

"I want to get on the scoresheet as many times as possible and help the team achieve its goals," she said. "I am really excited by the project that we are building and have had positive talks with Brian [Sorensen] about the future of this club."

Manager Brian Sorensen added that she was a "big part" of his plans for next season.

He said: "She enjoyed an impressive first few months at the club and fast became a popular figure in the changing room and also among supporters.

"I'm sure she will make our first campaign in our new home a memorable one."
