Borussia Mönchengladbach have signed forward Haris Tabaković on a season-long loan from Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim, the club said in a statement on Friday.
The 31-year-old was unable to establish himself at Hoffenheim last season, but will hope for better times at Gladbach.
"I had great conversations with the club and I’m now looking forward to getting to know my teammates, the coaches and everyone involved here," he said.
Gladbach managing director for sport Roland Virkus added: "Haris is an experienced and dangerous striker. He’s a classic number nine – the kind of physical presence up front who can help us immediately."
According to media reports, Gladbach are to loan winger Tomas Cvancara to Turkish side Antalyaspor.
The club is still looking for another forward after Alassane Plea left to PSG and with Germany international Tim Kleindienst still injured.
