Iowa Shrine Bowl takes place this weekend

For the 53rd time, the Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Classic will be held on Saturday, July 19.

Many of the best Iowa high school football seniors will gather in Cedar Falls for one final prep game as they take place in the Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Classic.

The event, making its 53rd appearance, will be held inside the UNI-Dome on Saturday, July 19. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.

Along with recognizing senior athletes and coaches from all parts of Iowa, the game raises funds for the Shriners' Children and its mission to provide the best pediatric care anywhere. The money raised helps offset costs of operations and services due to a variety of injuries and illnesses.
