Before the WNBA heads to a break for the All-Star weekend, Seattle Storm star Nneka Ogwumike made some history.

On Wednesday against the Golden State Valkyries, Ogwumike dropped 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting to lead her team to a 67-58 victory. She added eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

In the process, the 35-year-old 10-time All-Star surpassed Candice Dupree for sixth place on the all-time scoring list. Ogwumike entered the game with 6,874 career points, 21 points behind Dupree's 6,895 career points.

"ELEVATE," the WNBA wrote in announcing Ogwumike's achievement. "With 22 PTS today vs. the Valkyries, Nneka Ogwumike passes Candice Dupree (6,895 points) to claim 6th place on the All-Time Scoring List!"

Ogwumike is now just 485 points behind WNBA legend Tamika Catchings for fifth place on the all-time scoring list. After Wednesday's showdown, the veteran forward also increased her season scoring averages to 17.1 points per game.

With 21 games left in the season, it will be hard for Ogwumike to surpass Catchings and crack the top five. At her current pace, she's projected to add just a little over 350 points to her scoring tally — that is if she maintains her scoring average and stays healthy.

Should Ogwumike return for another year in the WNBA in 2026, it's not hard to see her passing Catchings and even Tina Thompson at No. 4. Surpassing DeWanna Bonner at No. 3 is also a possibility next season, but since Bonner is still active, her lead should only increase.

Diana Taurasi (10,646 points) and Tina Charles (8,040 points) currently lead the WNBA in all-time scoring, and it's unlikely anyone will take their spots anytime soon.
