The Indiana Fever's cohesion was on full display Tuesday night in Boston, where Indiana faced the league-worst Connecticut Sun at TD Garden.
After trading leads throughout the first three quarters, Indiana pulled away in the fourth, finishing with an 85-77 victory.
Kelsey Mitchell delivered 20 points to extend her double-digit scoring streak to 22 games, while Natasha Howard recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Caitlin Clark chipped in 14 points, eight boards and seven assists, and Aliyah Boston added 11 points and six rebounds in her 33 minutes of action.
But the on-court storyline was matched by a television milestone.
According to ESPN PR, Tuesday’s broadcast drew an average of 1.7 million viewers, peaking at 2 million, which represents a 48% increase over last year’s WNBA on ESPN regular-season average.
It swept all key cable demos among men (18-34, 13-49, 25-54) and ranks as the fifth-most-watched WNBA regular-season telecast in history.
Across ESPN platforms, league viewing is up 10% from a year ago.

The Fever entered Wednesday night’s matchup against the New York Liberty at Barclays Center riding a 12-10 record and third place in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference.
They’ve averaged 84.5 points per game, third-best in the league, while limiting opponents to 79.4 points, good for sixth defensively, yielding a +5.1 point differential that ranks third among all 13 teams.
Indiana has been riding a high since capturing the 2025 Commissioner's Cup with a 74-59 victory over the Minnesota Lynx at Target Center on July 1.
Now, as the WNBA builds toward its All-Star weekend in Indiana, the Fever carry momentum as not just one of the league's winningest teams but the most marketable.
