New Chelsea signing says that he came to the club in order to win trophies and says everyone wants to win there.

It comes off the back of Chelsea winning their second trophy of the season on Sunday night, lifting The Club World Cup after thrashing PSG 3-0 over in America in what was a very impressive performance and result from Enzo Maresca’s side.

There’s been some big reactions in the aftermath of Chelsea’s win, with one Sky Sports reporter claiming it has made Chelsea great again in what was a nod towards USA President Donald Trump being involved in Chelsea’s trophy lift, which was just bizarre.

But the win for Chelsea has changed the whole tone around the club and the supporters, many of whom have been doubting this Chelsea project and some probably still will. But right now, it’s time to celebrate and soak it up, because it’s an incredible moment for all involved in the club.

New signing Joao Pedro from Brighton, who scored the third goal in the PSG win, has been reacting to it in words picked up on X.

On the Club World Cup win, he says:

“I think you saw in the final how important it was to everyone at Chelsea.

“It is a very good group with very good guys. Everyone wants to win; the mentality is good. Everyone has been very welcoming to me.

“I came to Chelsea to win trophies, and today we did. Now we need to rest and it will be time to go again next season. But will enjoy it first because we won the tournament.”
