When Colorado head coach Deion Sanders made an appearance at last week's Big 12 media days in Frisco, Texas it was one of the few times that fans had heard from him this offseason.
The third-year head coach has been dealing with an undisclosed illness that led to him losing 14 pounds, and prevented him from returning to Boulder. Instead, he had been staying at his Canton, Texas home recovering.
With his return to Boulder seeming likely, fans recently learned that the Pro Football Hall of Fame member will be making a couple of pit stops before heading back to Colorado.
As revealed in a social media video featuring Sanders talking to his son, Shilo Sanders, a UDFA safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Colorado head coach will be checking in on both of his sons in person in the near future at their respective offseason training camps.
His younger son and former quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of this year's draft.
"I'm gonna try my best to rent a plane to come down and see you (Shilo) and then go see Shedeur then go to work," Sanders told his son.
Coach Prime is planning on taking a trip down to Tampa to see Shilo Sanders, and Cleveland to see Shedeur for Training Camp❤️

A revelation that has fans across the internet excited that Coach Prime is on the move, and making sure to check in on his boys as they begin the next stages of their careers.
"I’m sure he misses them. I’m hoping Bucky can film," wrote one fan.
"Love to hear it!!!☺️," exclaimed another.
"This should be a fun and funny video," added a third.
"Love to see it," commented another.
"That will be epic," chimed in another.
"SANDERS #headachegang CEO @ShiloSanders then Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders LEGENDARY MOMENTS 🙌," exclaimed one fan.
While Colorado fans would love to see the head ball coach in Boulder, it is encouraging that he is able to travel across the country. Before his health issues arose, Sanders signed a five-year, $54 million extension with Colorado, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in college football.
He and the Buffs opens the 2025 season on Aug. 29 against Georgia Tech.
