The Golden State Warriors have had a ton of legends play for their franchise over the years and that has resulted in them being known as one of the best franchises in the NBA.
Of course, the Warriors have won seven championships over their franchise’s history, four of which have come since the 2014-15 season with Steve Kerr leading the way on the sidelines.
Also leading the way for those four championships was Stephen Curry, who was one of eight Warriors named on Bleacher Report’s list of the all-time greatest players in NBA history.
On the list for the Warriors are Klay Thompson (98), Draymond Green (88), Jimmy Butler (83), Paul Arizin (72), Rick Barry (41), Kevin Durant (13), Curry (10) and Wilt Chamberlain (9).
For the star trio of Curry, Thompson and Green, they turned the Warriors into a dynasty since the 2014-15 season, helping the franchise win four championships, two of which Durant was also a part of.
Curry and Thompson have become known as two of the greatest shooters in NBA history while Green has etched his name in the record books as one of the league’s stingiest defenders, though his antics may have cost him a higher ranking on Bleacher Report’s list.
While that trio, along with Durant’s short stint in Golden State, are the more well known players for the Warriors over the last decade, they have had many other incredible players including Chamberlain.
For Chamberlain, he was part of the Warriors when they were still in Philadelphia alongside Arizin and he is known as one of the most dominant forces in league history thanks to his incredible scoring and rebounding skills.
Barry also played a key role for the Warriors during his career, patenting his famous free throw and helping lead the franchise to a title in 1975.
Of course, Golden State still has both Curry and Green on their roster alongside Butler as their new star trio looks to bring another title to The Bay and also continue to climb the all-time great rankings.
