A four-time champion with the Golden State Warriors barely cracked the list of the top 100 NBA players ever despite having a stellar career.

The Golden State Warriors entered the offseason looking to upgrade their roster around their star trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, though that has not been the case thus far.
Golden State has yet to make a move outside of the draft and due to this, their pursuit of another championship next season may be hindered unless they find a way to turn around their offseason.
On Monday, one of the Warriors’ key players during their dynasty was in the news as Bleacher Report revealed their list of the top 100 players in NBA history.
That player was Klay Thompson, who ranked 98th on the list as he barely cracked the greatest players in league history despite being a key piece during Golden State’s dynasty alongside Curry and Green.
“Klay Thompson was an integral component on four championship teams with the Warriors, as his elite three-point shooting and point-of-attack defense made him an ideal complement to Stephen Curry,” Bleacher Report’s NBA staff wrote. “He is one of the greatest pure shooters to ever live.”
Of course, Thompson left the Warriors for the Dallas Mavericks last offseason but Golden State will also hold a place in their hearts for the 35-year-old sharpshooter.
During his 11 seasons in Golden State, Thompson was a four-time champion, five-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA selection and one-time All-Defensive selection.
Thompson has been notorious for massive games due his incredible outside shooting, especially during the Warriors’ run to multiple championships.
He was the perfect fit next to Curry in the backcourt due to his shooting abilities and defensive intensity, which flew under the radar due to his offensive prowess.
Due to this, Thompson can make a case to be much higher on Bleacher Report’s list but either way, he will always be known as one of the top players in Warriors history and also one of the greatest shooters the NBA has ever seen.
