Guernsey's Vicky Hancock has won her second Island Games medal as she leapt to victory in the long jump.

Hancock - who broke the island triple jump record in winning bronze on Sunday - recorded a distance of 5.31m to retain the title she won on home soil two years ago.

She was one of three Guernsey medallists on the third night of athletics in Kirkwall as Nic Ackermann won men's 400m hurdles gold and Darcey Hodgson took silver in the women's event.

"I was hoping to do well and I have done well, so I'm really happy," Hancock told BBC Radio Guernsey

"The first time I did it there was a big crowd and everyone I knew was here, so having a celebration there were lots of cheers.

"There's fewer cheers but it's still lovely to be here and there's a big crowd and a good competitive atmosphere."
