Serie A newcomers Pisa are busy on the transfer market, picking up FC Zurich defender Daniel Denoon, while targeting Mariano Troilo and Napoli’s Giovanni Simeone.
The team finished second in Serie B last season behind Sassuolo, earning promotion along with Cremonese to the top flight.
They are rebooting under new coach Alberto Gilardino after Pippo Inzaghi walked away, so need to revamp the squad too.
Pisa busy on the transfer market
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Pisa have struck a surprise agreement with Swiss side FC Zurich for defender Denoon.
The 21-year-old is a product of their youth academy and is expected to complete the transfer for €1m, putting pen to paper on a four-year contract.
Meanwhile, Di Marzio also reports that their next target for the defence is Club Atletico Belgrano’s 22-year-old centre-back Troilo.
The offer on the table is for €4m, while it is claimed that Belgrano are asking for €6m plus a percentage of the sell-on fee.
As for the attack, they are hoping to poach Simeone from Scudetto winners Napoli, aware that he has struggled for playing time and that would be even more limited with the arrival of Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese.
The clubs are already talking about Napoli winger Alessio Zerbin.
