Pacers' All-Star seeking NBA comeback after 2 years missed from injury

Victor Oladipo is getting close.

It's been a long road back.

But former two-time NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo, who spent his best years with the Indiana Pacers and most recently suited up for the Miami Heat, is closing in on a return.

Oladipo worked out for a bunch of teams on Monday in Las Vegas.

"Multiple team sources in attendance came away impressed, with Oladipo described as being in excellent shape as he pursues another comeback," ESPN's Jeremy Woo writes.

Oladipo last played in the 2022-23 NBA season, when he tore his left patellar tendon while playing for the Heat in the playoffs.

The one-time Indiana Hoosiers great was chosen No. 2 overall in 2013.

His All-NBA 2017-18 season was followed by multiple knee injuries the following year, and his career since then has been bumpy.

"I feel so great right now!!" Oladipo wrote on X. "Better than I felt in the last 7 years mind, body and soul. I know I am a fighter! I know I am a warrior! I have seen every lens this game and this league has to offer. I know I can help any team in any role win in any way! I also know the people want to see me succeed in this game and play at the highest level again. My injuries are behind me and it will never happen again! I am at peace with that and my past. I’m ready to build a present now and future of a life time."

The comeback is loading.
