The Georgia Bulldogs have made a major change with their football radio broadcast team. Former UGA QB Eric Zeier is stepping away
Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Eric Zeier will no longer be the Bulldogs' radio color analyst. The Georgia Bulldogs Sports Network has already found a replacement for Zeier.
Former Georgia offensive lineman Josh Brock (2002-2005) will replace Zeier, who had served in his role for 18 years. Zeier missed Georgia's spring game and a few games over the years, but he is a familiar, trusted voice for many Georgia football fans. Zeier, who is one of the top passers in school history, is stepping away to spend more time with his family.
Brock joins a UGA radio team that features former Georgia quarterback DJ Shockley as the Dawgs' sideline reporter and longtime play-by-play commentator Scott Howard. This will be the first new color analyst Howard has had since he took over for the legendary Larry Munson in 2008.
More on Josh Brock
Brock is from Milledgeville, Georgia, but currently lives in Cartersville as a financial advisor. Brock played in 15 games from 2002-2003 for Georgia and later suffered a medical disqualification in 2005 after a concussion.
Brock has experience calling Cartersville football games along with being a contributor for the Dawg Talk postgame show.
"I can't wait to work with another great Bulldog," Scott Howard said. "I first met Josh (Brock) during his playing days at UGA. He and Shock were teammates and will be again. With his knowledge of the game and Georgia, Josh will be a terrific addition to the Bulldogs Sports Network radio team."
