It has been a whirlwind 2025 for the former 'Speak' host.
Fox Sports has done a major shakeup to its FS1 lineup, and many of its popular hosts are out of work. Joy Taylor was impacted by those cuts, as her show, Speak, was dropped from their weekday lineup.
Speak getting cut was one of the most shocking moves, as the show had been going on since 2016 and featured the likes of Keyshawn Johnson, Paul Pierce, and a rotating panel of Emmanuel Acho, LeSean McCoy, and James Jones at various points. Acho, Jones, and McCoy also starred on The Facility, which began in September 2024 and has already met its demise. Breakfast Ball, hosted by Craig Carton, Danny Parkins, and Mark Schlereth, began a week before Facility and was also among the cuts, all due to low ratings, per The Athletic.
It had been a tumultuous 2025 for Taylor and the network. She was named in one of the two lawsuits against the former Fox Sports programming executive Charlie Dixon, who was relieved of his duties this past April. Noushin Faraji, a make-up artist who worked with Fox Sports, accused Dixon of sexual battery and claimed that Taylor told her to “get over it.”
She also accused Taylor of insulting her on a “professional and personal level,” claimed that she was having an affair with Dixon, and revealed that Taylor allegedly planned to accuse Dixon of sexual assault in the future. The 38-year-old host denied the allegations against her but took some time off from the network as the story made its rounds.
The network cuts are interestingly timed as her contract was reportedly set to expire this summer, according toFront Office Sports. She previously worked alongside Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed, Colin Cowherd on The Herd, and had her own eponymous show at one point.
Within the last few months, she has become very outspoken on matters of relationships and sex. During a May episode of her Two Personal Show, she suggested that sex work be legalized to mitigate the issue of male loneliness. She also claimed that religious men are a red flag for her when dating, despite being a “person of faith” herself, on Paul Pierce and Azar Farideh’s podcast The Truth After Dark.
