Robert Sanchez has hailed one of his Chelsea teammates as the 'best in the world' on the back of his performance in the Club World Cup final.
Chelsea ended a marathon 2024-25 season with even more success as they managed to clinch the Club World Cup over the weekend in the USA.
The Blues swept aside Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final on the back of a brace by Cole Palmer and a goal by new signing Joao Pedro.
The Blues were also resolute in defence as they managed to keep the dangerous PSG attack at bay.
One of the star performers from the final for Chelsea was their goalkeeper, who had a stellar game in goal for the Blues.
Not only did the Spanish goalkeeper manage to keep a clean sheet in the final, but he also picked up the Golden Glove for the most clean sheets kept in the tournament.
Despite his stellar performance, Sanchez has admitted it was Palmer’s performance in the final that impressed him the most.

What Sanchez said about Cole Palmer’s quality
The Chelsea squad will be more than aware of the quality the England international has; however, Sanchez has claimed that he is actually the best player in the world, and that is something that will be accepted by everyone in just a couple of years.
He told FIFA, “Cole Palmer is the best in the world. If he’s not the best now, he’s going to be in the next two to three years. “He’s a top player. He shows it in all the matches. What he does is magic. When he gets chances, he takes them. Today he scored two goals, almost a hat-trick. Impressive.”
