Chicago Sky star Angel Reese kept her double-double streak going on Monday. The two-time All-Star made it nine in a row with a team-high 22 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with three assists and a block.

It wasn’t enough for the Sky, though, as they suffered a 91-78 defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Lynx in a home game at Wintrust Arena.

In his post-game press conference, Chicago head coach Tyler Marsh was asked to give his assessment of Reese’s performance in the loss. The rookie shot-caller had some praise for his star forward.

"[Angel's] shown her verstatility,” he said, via Sky reporter Karli Bell on X. “This last eight games has been her aggression. I thought Minnesota made a conscious effort to keep her off the offensive glass today."

"It's been her aggression and her ability to recognize her opportunities on the floor."

Reese stuffed the stat sheet again on Monday, and it has earned her coach's recognition. Marsh emphasized the 23-year-old’s aggressive mindset as the key to her recent success.

At the same time, however, Marsh also pointed out that the Lynx came with a clear game plan against Reese in this one, which they executed effectively.

Reese will get the chance to keep her double-double streak alive in their next game, while Chicago will look to get back to winning ways after falling to 7-14 on the season on Monday. They return to action at home on Wednesday against the Atlanta Dream in their final game before the All-Star break.
