At 11-10 and third in the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Fever are riding a hot streak, having not only claimed the 2025 Commissioner's Cup but also won five of their last seven games, including back-to-back victories over the past week.

Yet, on Monday, it was forward Aliyah Boston who took center stage at Massachusetts’ State House, when "Aliyah Boston Day" was officially proclaimed.

Set against the State House’s Grand Staircase, Boston, flanked by Governor Maura Healey and Boston-area Representative Christopher Worrell, held aloft the formal proclamation marking her contributions to the game and her community.

Shortly after the ceremony, teammate Kelsey Mitchell reposted a video of the moment to her Instagram story, along with the message, "'Aliyah Boston Day' officially in the books at the State House 🔥❤️🤩! prada you, big baby 🫶🏾 @aliyah.boston."

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft out of South Carolina, Boston captured Rookie of the Year honors in unanimous fashion and has since excelled as a key two-way presence for the Fever.

In 2025, she is leading the league in field-goal percentage (58.3%) and averaging 16.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest, numbers that earned her a third straight WNBA All-Star nod.

Mitchell, meanwhile, has been the Fever’s most consistent scoring threat since being drafted second overall in 2018 out of Ohio State, having recently earned her third straight All-Star selection as well.

This season, Mitchell is averaging a career‐high 19.2 points, along with 2.8 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game, having scored at least 20 points in three of her past five outings.

With the All-Star break looming, the Fever will return to action on Tuesday at the Connecticut Sun, carrying not just a winning record but also the momentum of a state‐wide celebration.
