The Las Vegas Summer League is underway and there have already been multiple young players showcase their talents during the first few games they have played.

Of course, everyone around the NBA had their eyes on the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Cooper Flagg, as he played two games for the Dallas Mavericks before they announced that they are shutting him down.

Outside of Flagg, there have been many other incredible performances by the league’s rising stars but one team has struggled thus far.

That team is the New York Knicks, who have lost their first two games during the Summer League.

New York began their Summer League play on Friday night as they faced off against the Detroit Pistons but fell 104-86 with Pacome Dadiet leading the way with 17 points while MarJon Beauchamp added 15 points of his own.

On Sunday, the Knicks were once again in action, this time against the Boston Celtics, but it was the same result as they lost 94-81 despite Kevin McCullar Jr.’s 30 points.

It has been an underwhelming Summer League thus far for the Knicks as they have yet to break 85 points and one of their celebrity fans in Ben Stiller sent out an honest message on social media about their Summer League squad on Sunday.

“I don’t know if I can invest in this Knicks summer league,” Stiller posted on X on Sunday.

It is clear that Stiller is not pleased watching his favorite team’s Summer League squad struggling,

Of course, the main point of the Summer League is for teams to see the talent of their young players in game-time situations but the Knicks’ squad has struggled thus far.

Despite this, most of the players on the Knicks’ Summer League roster likely will not have a major role in the rotation next season, especially with their play thus far.

New York will now look to turn their Summer League around on Tuesday when they face the Brooklyn Nets at 6:00 p.m. EST on ESPN2.
