Cagliari are reportedly still facing major hurdles in their efforts to sign Inter Milan’s Sebastiano Esposito and Napoli’s Michael Folorunsho.
This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Sardinian club still want to sign the players on loan rather than permanent deals.
Cagliari are eyeing up a couple notable names from bigger clubs in Serie A.
First of all, the Sardinian club are keen to sign Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito.
The 23-year-old is a player who Inter are keen to sell outright this summer once and for all. He has gone out on a number of loan spells in past seasons, having played for Empoli last campaign.
Meanwhile, Cagliari are also keen on Napoli midfielder Michael Folorunsho.
Cagliari Still Face Hurdles To Sign Esposito & Folorunsho
Cagliari have been aiming to wrap up the deals for Esposito and Folorunsho quickly.
In the case of Esposito, the Rossoblu are not the only club in the race.
Fiorentina are also reportedly keen to sign the Inter striker.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, though, Cagliari want to sign Esposito and Folorunsho on loan rather than on permanent deals.
Furthermore, because Esposito is only under contract with Inter until the end of next June, he’d have to extend his contract with the Nerazzurri before going out on loan.
Therefore, there are doubts about whether Cagliari will be able to convince either Inter or Napoli.
