Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca is proving to be an adaptable manager after his latest comments made this week.
The Blues boss saw his side beat European Champions PSG 3-0 last night in what ended up being a very comfortable win for his side.
Sources: Chelsea still in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with three names mentioned!
Maresca saw Palmer score two goals in quick succession that put Chelsea 2-0 up in the game with two perfect finishes that looked very much the same as each other.
Joao Pedro then popped up with another fine finish to chip the goalkeeper to see PSG off and actually thrash them, which really is quite incredible and what nobody expected!
Maresca and Chelsea approached the game perfectly. It wasn’t a vintage PSG performance by all means, but Chelsea were tactically better than them and were also more up for it. It was a perfect Chelsea performance.
Maresca tactically outclassed his opponents
Robert Sanchez was going long with his kick outs, and it also looks like he went man to man with his marking and setup.

It was clear to see that Maresca had his player so well drilled and organised for this game and for the opponent he was facing, and it also shows that he is adaptable as a head coach, something that he has been questioned for a lot.
Maresca’s tactics
Maresca said on Robert Sanchez going long after he said he would drop him if he did:
“About Robert, I usually say the opponent gives us the solution. If the opponent does what PSG does then we have to use long balls and clearances by the goalkeepers. It depends on what the opponents do.”
Maresca also said:
“We prepare and plan for the games depending on our next opponent. I try to learn every day, I learned from watching Luis Enrique at Barca, PSG and Spain’s national team.”
Maresca on Enzo Fernandez:
“We are extremely happy with Enzo, not only today but through the whole season. He played in a different position today.”
Additional bit on tactics: “The idea was to go man-to-man.”
