Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Lucas Beraldo has informed the Ligue 1 giants of his desire to leave this summer (h/t L’Equipe).
The Brazilian moved to the French capital from Sao Paulo in January 2024 but has struggled to become a regular for Luis Enrique’s side.
Beraldo featured in 25 games in Ligue 1 last season but found himself mostly on the bench in the Champions League, with Willian Pacho and Marquinhos as the first-choice centre-back pairing.
He played the entire final of the Club World Cup last night, where PSG suffered a crushing 3-0 defeat against Chelsea.
Although the 21-year-old sees PSG as a perfect place to develop his career, he has reservations over his place in the squad.
With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Beraldo needs prominent game time to increase his chances of securing a place in Brazil’s squad.
Les Parisiens are open to selling the Brazilian youngster only if they find a suitable replacement in the transfer market.
Furthermore, they will not be entertained by the offers for anything less than €30 million.
PSG have been working on defensive reinforcements in this transfer window as they look to continue their dominance in the upcoming season.
Bournemouth centre-back Illia Zabarnyi has been earmarked as the top target, however, negotiations with the Premier League club have stalled.
It is reported that there is a significant gap in the final transfer fee, and Les Parisiens are unwilling to succumb to Bournemouth’s demands.
PSG might look for alternatives if a deal for the Ukrainian international doesn’t materialise. Lazio’s Mario Gila is among the options on the wishlist, but the Italian club are steadfast in keeping him.
Lucas Hernandez could be on his way out of Parc des Princes this summer after being deemed surplus to requirements.
