United States President Donald Trump recently floated the idea of a UFC event that takes place on the White House grounds in 2026. The proposed event, which would celebrate the country’s 250th independence anniversary, sounds almost logistically impossible and borderline ridiculous. With the UFC President and CEO, Dana White, pulling the strings, it may be more possible than we think.
During the UFC Nashville post-fight press conference, Dana White revealed some key details about the promotion’s groundbreaking event at the White House in 2026.
Among the details, White said, “It will be a pay-per-view card... The best card we could possibly put together.”

While matchmaking rumors swirl, White shut down any premature speculation.
When asked whether or not Conor McGregor and Jon Jones will be added to the pay-per-view lineup, White responded, “I don’t know. I mean, in a year, who knows what the world will look like in a year?”
White previously teased Jones vs. Tom Aspinall as a "dream main event" but cautioned that nothing is finalized.
White also confirmed the exact location on the White House grounds where he would like to hold the event.
“We’re going to be on the south lawn, and literally, when you’re watching the fight, this will all be the White House here,” he said, gesturing to his front. “Behind me will be, you know, the Washington Monument.”
The UFC boss admitted the challenges are unprecedented, from security protocols to weather contingencies, but he’s undeterred.
“We’re just getting into the logistics right now. My team has already walked the White House with the staff there,” confirming that planning is already underway. “Now we’re putting together the design, then we’ll all fly out to D.C. and sit down with [the president] and see what he wants to do.”
