Predicting the result of every Georgia Bulldogs regular season game in 2025. We predict Georgia to go 10-2
We are under two months away from the Georgia Bulldogs' first game of the 2025 college football season. Georgia will have a new look in 2025 with quarterback Gunner Stockton expected to start.
Georgia has another challenging schedule in 2025, but the Bulldogs open with a pair of non-Power Four opponents, so Gunner Stockton and the Dawgs have a bit of time to adjust to having larger roles. Georgia's highest ranked opponents will all be home games, so the Bulldogs have a more manageable schedule than in 2024. The Bulldogs have just three true road games.
This offseason, Georgia is rebuilt its roster after losing 13 players that were selected in 2025 NFL draft and some elite transfers like quarterback Carson Beck and linebacker Damon Wilson. The 2025 breed of Bulldogs will look very different from the 2024 version, but Georgia faces similar schedule and still has elite talent across the board.
Georgia football 2025 schedule with predictions
Aug. 30: Marshall Thundering Herd
Marshall is the best of Georgia's three non-Power Four opponents this season. Georgia plays Marshall, who is the best of Georgia's three non-Power Four opponents in 2025, in the season opener at home. The game will serve as a gauge for how the 2025 Bulldogs look.
Marshall won at Notre Dame back in 2022 and is capable of making things interesting against Georgia. The Thundering Herd are coming off a strong 10-3 season where they won the Sun Belt Conference championship. However, Marshall opted out of the Independence Bowl after too many players entered the transfer portal and lost a ton of talent via the portal.
Prediction: Georgia 48, Marshall 13
Sept. 6: Austin Peay Governors
Austin Peay is Georgia's only Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) opponent this fall. The Governors lost to Georgia 45-0 in Athens back in 2018 and we expect a similar result this time.
Prediction: Georgia 52, Austin Peay 10
Sept. 13: at Tennessee Volunteers
Back in February, we predicted Tennessee to beat Georgia. Since then, Georgia has gotten a little better via the spring transfer portal while Tennessee lost starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava to the portal.
Kirby Smart is undefeated in his Georgia career against Josh Heupel. We don't see that changing even though Gunner Stockton's first career road start at Tennessee won't be easy.
Prediction: Georgia 24, Tennessee 20
Sept. 27: Alabama Crimson Tide
Of course, it will be Alabama who snaps Georgia's lengthy home winning streak (best in the nation) that dates back to 2019. The Bulldogs are expected to have won 33 straight home games by the time Alabama comes to town. Alabama's projected starting quarterback Ty Simpson is likely to be starting just his fourth career game and his first ever SEC road game, but we think Alabama's talent in the trenches will be why the Crimson Tide beat Georgia.
Georgia and Alabama have combined to win five of 11 national championships during the College Football Playoff era and 10 of the last 11 SEC championships.
Prediction: Alabama 31, Georgia 27
Oct. 4: Kentucky Wildcats
Georgia plays the Wildcats a week after Alabama, so the Bulldogs could be on upset watch. Kentucky always plays Georgia well and has excellent physicality, but the Georgia has won 15 straight games over the Wildcats and we don't see that streak ending.
Prediction: Georgia 34, Kentucky 21
Oct. 11: at Auburn Tigers
There's no way playing a night game at Auburn will be easy for Georgia. The Dawgs have gotten the better of Auburn on eight straight occasions dating back to 2017. Auburn should have a formidable rushing attack with quarterback Jackson Arnold, but the Tigers have struggled to score on Kirby Smart defenses and think that will remain the same in 2025.
Prediction: Georgia 24, Auburn 14
Oct. 18: Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss is one of the more difficult teams to project for the 2025 season. Rebels' projected quarterback Austin Simmons carved Georgia up on one drive in 2024, but Ole Miss lost eight players to the NFL draft.
Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss signed another strong transfer portal class, but we don't think the Rebels will bully Georgia at the line of scrimmage like they did last season. We have the Dawgs winning a nail-biter.
Prediction: Georgia 30, Ole Miss 28
Nov. 1: Florida Gators (neutral site)
If there's any year where Florida is going to upset Georgia, then 2025 could be the perfect storm for the Gators. Florida returns quarterback DJ Lagway, who missed most of the 2024 Georgia-Florida game. The Gators will be battle-tested and we think will prevail against Georgia for the first time since 2020.
Prediction: Florida 27, Georgia 20
Nov. 8: at Mississippi State Bulldogs
Mississippi State is another trap game for Georgia. UGA plays Mississippi State between massive games against Florida and Texas. However, Georgia just has too much talent for Mississippi State. We have the better Bulldogs winning by multiple scores.
Prediction: Georgia 41, Mississippi State 21
Nov. 15: Texas Longhorns
Arch Manning and Texas are a preseason No. 1. The Longhorns will travel to Athens for the first ever time as a member of the SEC for a 2024 SEC championship game rematch. If things go as predicted, then Georgia will likely be fighting for their College Football Playoff lives against Texas. We have a motivated Georgia team taking care of business against Texas.
Prediction: Georgia 27, Texas 17
Nov. 22: Charlotte 49ers
The Charlotte 49ers have just one bowl appearance in their brief school history and aren't ready to beat or compete with a team like Georgia. We like Georgia to win this one comfortably with running back Nate Frazier scoring multiple touchdowns.
Prediction: Georgia 45, Charlotte 6
Nov. 28: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (neutral site)
Georgia and Georgia Tech finally meet again after the Dawgs won a stunning eight overtime game against the Yellow Jackets in 2024. Georgia Tech has steadily improved under head coach Brent Key, but has been unable to get over the hump against Georgia. Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be rocking for the latest version of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate. We have Georgia winning a tight one over Georgia Tech thanks to a big day from Gunner Stockton.
Prediction: Georgia 28, Georgia Tech 24
Georgia's overall record: 10-2, 6-2 SEC
