Eintracht Frankfurt have named the main stand at the Deutsche Bank Park after Germany's 1974 World Cup champion Bernd Hölzenbein, who died in April 2024. The former striker played for Frankfurt between 1967 and 1981, winning the UEFA Cup and three German Cup titles with the club.

The Bernd Hölzenbein Stand will be able to accommodate 13,000 people from the 2025-26 season.
Hölzenbein became famous above all for being fouled inside the Dutch area in the 1974 World Cup final against the Netherlands, which led to a penalty converted by Paul Breitner. Germany won 2-1.
After his active career, Hölzenbein remained at Frankfurt as vice president and manager.
"By renaming the stand, we are honouring the life's work of Bernd Hölzenbein," board spokesman Axel Hellmann said.
