Cagliari are closing on two transfers, with Inter forward Sebastiano Esposito and Napoli midfielder Michael Folorunsho drawing closer to the Sardinian club.
According to reports from SkySport, Tuesday 15 July will be decisive in the Rossoblu’s pursuit of the duo; with Inter and Napoli prepared to offload their fringe players in order to free up both squad space and funds for their pursuit of bigger targets.
Folorunsho spent last season on loan with Fiorentina, playing 19 times in all competitions for La Viola. Meanwhile, Esposito finished a fairly decent spell on loan with Empoli – scoring ten times in 35 appearances. The Inter man also played four times for the Nerazzurri at the recent Club World Cup.
Esposito looks set for Cagliari despite Fiorentina interest
The reports from Italy also claim that Fiorentina are interested in the Inter outcast. However, Cagliari appear to be on step ahead of the Viola, having already submitted a bid believed to be in the region of €7 million – with an additional resale percentage.
Unless Fiorentina make a dramatic late move for the 23-year-old, it looks likely that he will join Folorunsho in Sardinia.
