Here's a look at the jerseys for the 2025 Home Run Derby.
The MLB All-Star week is an exciting time for the league, as the best players congregate in one place for the only time during the season.
An event this big needs its own uniforms, as the league designs jerseys specifically for the event every season. This year, with the Braves set as the host team, the league tried to create jerseys that pay homage to the organization and Atlanta's baseball history.
Here's a look at the jerseys that this year's MLB All-Stars will be wearing.

MLB Home Run Derby jerseys, explained
Every year, MLB designs its All-Star jerseys based on the team that's hosting the event. For 2025, the game will be held in Atlanta, so the jerseys feature Braves colors as part of the design.
Each league will get a jersey with a different blue as the base, with the AL getting a darker navy blue and the NL getting the lighter sky blue. Those are the main two different shades of blue that the Braves have used over the course of their history.
Other than that, both jerseys are similar and feature the league's initials over the heart and red stripes running vertically, similar to the Braves' standard uniforms.

The font on both jerseys is lower case and the same font that is used on Atlanta's vintage hat in the 1970s.

These uniforms were mainly worn during the Home Run Derby on Monday night, but players will wear their individual team uniforms during the All-Star Game itself. However, there is one big change to the jerseys that differentiates from past years.
This year, the All-Star break will take place on 7/14 and 7/15, which is fitting considering Babe Ruth ended up with 714 home runs in his career and Hank Aaron broke that record when he hit home run No. 715. Therefore, NL players will wear Aaron's No. 44, while AL players will get Ruth's No. 3.

Former pitcher and Hall-of-Fame elect C.C. Sabathia worked with the league to honor both Aaron and Ruth in Atlanta.
"I just saw the date of the Home Run Derby, and knew that the game was in Atlanta again, and thought it would be special to honor not only Hank, but Babe, in that way," Sabathia said, via ESPN. "Everything [in baseball] is about numbers. Who you can pass. You need to get this number to get in the Hall of Fame. Seven-hundred-fifteen is such a huge number, and that actually being the date in the Derby was the inspiration behind the guys wearing the uniforms."
Sabathia stressed how important it was when Aaron passed Ruth to become the Home Run King in 1974.
Fifty years ago today, Hank Aaron became baseball’s home run king. Pursuing and passing Babe Ruth’s record was the crowning achievement for one of the greatest men to grace the sport. https://t.co/R8htmT9ldXpic.twitter.com/ooY09sefk0

"It was such a huge thing for Hank to be able to pass Babe, and to be able to pass that number, but up until then, and even still now, people consider Babe the home run king," Sabathia added. "He did so much for the game, and to still have his name ring the way it does, I think it would be cool to be able to have jerseys with his [number] on the back, representing this All-Star game."
Aaron is considered the greatest player in Atlanta baseball history, so it makes sense for the league to honor him in the first All-Star Game since his passing. And while Ruth never played in Atlanta, he did play for the Boston Braves in the final year of his career, giving him a connection to the organization as well.

Why aren't teams wearing the All-Star jerseys in game?
For the past four years, players wore the All-Star jerseys in the game itself, representing their league during the contest. However, most fans preferred when players would wear their everyday team jersey during the All-Star Game to show off their particular home colors.
This year, MLB reverted back to having players wearing their own jerseys representing their teams, with each player getting an All-Star patch on his sleeve. So, Ronald Acuna will be wearing his home Braves uniform in Atlanta, while Aaron Judge will be in the classic Yankees road grays.
