Charlton Athletic’s attacking full-back Charlotte Newsham has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
The 25-year-old Scottish international joined Charlton Athletic last summer after opting to leave former club Sheffield United. Newsham enjoyed a hugely successful first season at The Valley. She made 23 appearances for Charlton Athletic in all competitions, putting in some stand-out performances along the way.
Having spent the last five years operating in Barclays WSL2, Newsham has built a reputation of being one of the strongest players in her position and she will be hoping to shine again in 2025/2026.
After signing a new deal with Charlton Athletic, Newsham said “I’m thrilled to be staying at Charlton for another year. I really enjoyed my first season here and feel I’ve developed both on and off the pitch. I’m excited to see what we can achieve together this season—both as a team and individually.”
Newsham follows teammates Jodie Hutton, Gloria Siber, Karin Muya, Elisha N’Dow and Kiera Skeels in signing fresh terms with Charlton Athletic during the close season. Head coach Karen Hills’ squad-building is really gathering pace ahead of the new season.
