According to a report from L’Équipe, Bayern Munich have enquired about the availability of Malo Gusto (22), with a view to a potential transfer from Chelsea. The 22-year-old is currently in the USA with Chelsea, preparing to face Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Gusto signed for the West London club in January 2023 for a fee of €30m, but spent the remainder of the season on loan at his formative club. The former Lyon right-back has since been a regular at Stamford Bridge. He has made 84 appearances for the Blues, registering 11 assists, including 6 appearances for the Premier League club at the Club World Cup.
Right-back is one of the positions that Bayern are looking to bolster this summer. Sacha Boey (24) is expected to leave the Allianz Arena, with Marseille and Galatasaray both interested in a potential move for the Frenchman. If Boey were to depart, this could make way for a move for Gusto. It remains to be seen if Chelsea would be willing to sell the France international.
