Smith, who was named All-Metro by SF Chronicle as a sophomore, took over even more than usual in the absence of Cade Krueger.
In a field of heavyweights constituting the California Live Passport bracket, Amador Valley emerged as the champion despite the absence of Cade Krueger due to injury led by SF Chronicle All-Metro guard Jaylen Smith.
Smith dropped 37 points as the reigning CIF-NCS Division 1 semifinalist took down reigning Division III state champion San Gabriel Valley (which was without Mahamadou Diop and Mamadou Traore) 60-53 in the title game.
